Press Release Leonardo Da Vinci – Transfer of Innovation - “E-commerce for traditional Products – women 50+” 2nd Meeting – Sofia, Bulgaria - 07th – 10th of June 2010 The 2nd meeting of the Leonardo Da Vinci program «E-commerce for traditional Products – women 50+» took place in Sofia, Bulgaria during the period 7th - 10th of June 2010. This was the 2nd International Meeting among the partners of the project and aimed on monitoring the progress of the project which is on the 9th month of its lifetime.
The project which is funded with support from the European Commission (Lifelong Learning Programme – Leonardo Da Vinci) aims to support women (50+) to take part in training activities in order to keep producing their products in the same traditional way, but according to EU legislation and to promote them to a wider market through e-commerce.The objectives of the project include support of the development and adaptation of innovative ICT –based content, services, pedagogies and practices for lifelong learning through promoting the training material, and delivering training in order to raise the competence level of the target group.The meetings were held on the 8th and 9th of June at the Meeting Hall of the “Best Western City Hotel” in Sofia with the presence of all participating organizations. During the meeting various organizational issues were discussed, while the training material of the project were presented and evaluated. Furthermore, the partners have agreed upon a variety of actions that have to undertake within the next couple of months. Their main target is to finalize all the products of the project by the next meeting, which will be held in Berlin, Germany in November 2010. Right after December 2010, the training procedures will get started including the training of trainers and trainees.The products of the project (training material) will be available to all interested parties (organizations or individuals) by the end of the year while women in the age group of 50+ are welcome to participate in the training courses which will start at the beginning of 2011.
